New Sign-Up Method

Previously, we have been conducting tournament sign-ups over e-mail, but we are now working on a new system which will not require you to do this. We are doing this for a few reasons:

  1. We have currently been having problems with our e-mail client, so there is a small risk of your e-mail not being received.
  2. It is much eaiser and safer to use a form for submission rather than e-mail.
  3. It will encourage those, who are too shy to send an e-mail to enter, as they will not need to write anything, rather than the required information needed for the tournament.
  4. Those, who do not have an e-mail address can enter.
  5. Your inbox will not receive any constant un-nessessary auto-reply messages, but simply messages essential to participating in the tournament (though an e-mail address is no longer required to enter)

However, despite these problems, we do still have a few submissions for our Metroid Prime Hunters Tournament, which are listed below. If you are not on the list, please re-enter the tournament, by sending an e-mail to: Tournaments@GamersCastPodCast.com (our form method described above is coming soon). So, here are the current friend codes we have on file:

3866-1463-7305 (John Slater*)

0687-8820-9299 (El Rey)

*names marked with asterisk indicates, that the person's actual name is being used.

As you can see, when a few hundred people download a podcast to sign-up for a video game tournament, and only two sign-up, then you know that something is wrong, which is the biggest reason we are making the change in the sign-up system. A new post will be made here once the system is ready.

GamersCast Tournaments

Along with the GamersCast Tournament podcast on iTunes, this page will also keep you upto date on all of GamersCast's Tournaments. So, this way, the hearing impaired and those who don't want to bother downloading, can also stay upto date and compete in our tournaments. This page, does use the same service as The GamersCast News Feed, so you will still get the same constant updates you have become accustomed to, but this page is using a new BETA by Blogger, so you will notice a few changes. One of which, is tagged posts. Using tagged posts, you will be able to choose the posts that interest you most, and will allow more organized web browsing. For example, if you would only like to see posts relating to the Metroid Prime Hunters Tournament, you will be able to simply click on the Metroid Prime Hunters tag. This will also allow us to arrange sign-ups for multiple tournaments at the same time as others. We soon hope to introduce this feature along with the other new features seen here, to the GamersCast News Feed.
